How to regenerate VPN certificates (read before you click)
CA, server, and client certs can be regenerated — but users need new .ovpn files afterward.
Path: Admin → Certificates.
Warning: regenerating certificates disconnects users until they get new profiles.
Actions
- Regenerate CA — invalidates all certs. Everyone needs new configs.
- Regenerate Server — new server certificate only.
- Regenerate All Client Certs — every client needs a new
.ovpn. - Per client — regenerate or delete one client certificate.
Only do a full CA regenerate when you mean it. Tell users to log into the portal and download a fresh profile before they try to connect again.
