This Privacy Policy explains how VeloTun (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and licensing Service.

1. Information we collect

  • Account data: name, email, optional company and phone, and authentication credentials (stored hashed).
  • Order data: server/connection quantities, billing cycle, payment method preference, order status, and license metadata.
  • Support data: messages you send via the contact form or email.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and basic server logs needed for security, rate limiting, and abuse prevention (including license API validation attempts).

2. How we use information

  • Provide accounts, checkout, licensing, and install support
  • Send transactional emails (signup, order updates, license notices)
  • Prevent fraud, enforce rate limits, and secure the Service
  • Respond to support requests and improve the product

3. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with infrastructure providers (e.g. hosting, email delivery) strictly to operate the Service, or when required by law.

4. Retention

We retain account and order records for as long as needed to provide the Service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request account updates via your profile or by contacting us.

5. Security

We use industry-standard practices such as hashed passwords, HTTPS, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Cookies & sessions

We use session cookies required to keep you signed in and protect forms (CSRF). We do not use third-party advertising trackers on the storefront by default.

7. Your choices

You can update profile fields in your account. For access, correction, or deletion requests, email support@velotun.com.

By creating an account or placing an order, you consent to receiving product updates and announcements by email (newsletter). You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting support.

VeloTun is designed to work with OpenVPN® Community Edition. OpenVPN® is a registered trademark of OpenVPN Inc. VeloTun is an independent product and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by OpenVPN Inc. It is not OpenVPN Access Server.
